My Story

I am a curiosity-driven User Experience Designer who worked in different industries like Networking, Healthcare, Insurance and has covered web, desktop, mobile, and more. I love my job and I learned about this career out of my passionate about things people do around me.

 

I have empathy for users - I’m passionate about UX research because its practice express empathy, asks for a collaborative effort, and promotes functionality

 

I have a prodigious curiosity to know -  Why did they act like this? What can we do for them? How can we improve their happiness and experience by balancing organizational goals?

 

I observe things to acquire wisdom - Often, research participants don’t know why they do things, what they really need, what they might do in the future, or how a design could be improved. To really understand what people do, you can’t just ask them, you have to observe them. 

 

I’m a designer by trade and meticulous by nature. I have experience leading every stage of the strategic design process, from planning and research to delivery and optimization.

I oversee diverse interdisciplinary teams, fostering relationships with both designers and stakeholders to establish design practices that people want to work with and be a part of.

I love bringing together cross-disciplinary and client teams to collaboratively solve problems, and have extensive experience planning and facilitating workshops.

Group Health Plan

UX Research & Strategy

I led the UX research effort in designing and implementing a comprehensive user study via user interviews (with both remote and in-person sessions)  to understand the user behavior, their journey, and challenges in each phase for Small group administrators.  This project set a huge milestone of UX research across the firm because of sales impact in the process.

Welcome Booklet Revision

UX Research & Design

I worked with a team of designers at BlueCross and BlueShield to research and define new welcome booklets to give an insight about the health insurance to end users. I designed and facilitated human-centered workshops to shape the narrative of our process to understand the view of end users, and what makes them read this booklet for the basic questions they get about the health insurance.

Explanation of Benefits Redesign

UX Research, Strategy & Design

As a response to the high volume of calls received from customers, I built a team to analyze the reasons behind it and define user requirements to reduce the no of calls come into the support center. I conducted research from user interviews to prototyping and usability testing, I helped shape the user vision and execution of user requirements aligned with the business goals.

At present users have to log on to different applications to access the Citrix corporate workspace and we would like to understand the users thoughts, ideas for new features, and what motivates them to use a mobile app. Team would like to know MVP for design perspective, what is it users don’t like and what needs to be change in the existing web app.

Redesign Online Shopping Experience

UX Research & Design

At BlueCross and BlueShield of Kansas, We found that there is a huge drop-off in the percentage of people who shops for Medicare health plan in online and 80% of drop from select plan page to the application enrollment page. In the current path, very less percentage of people going to compare plans page to explore all the available plans and a single workflow for different types of shoppers (product focused, browsers, and researchers).
